TUESDAY’S TIP: BEING CONSIDERATE IN THE STORM

Normally being considerate of someone is easy during the good times of a relationship. We put their needs before ours and everything is about pleasing them in every aspect. LET’S PAUSE, anyone can be considerate when all is well, but can you do it IN THE STORM without being resentful or bitter? A popular group had a song entitled, “Can You Stand The Rain”, and some of the lyrics stated, “Cause I need somebody to stand by me, through the good times and bad times.”

This really hits home because when there’s turmoil in your relationship/marriage, it takes a mature person to continue to think about someone else’s needs before themselves, especially when we feel justified by our actions. For example, in my marriage, I don’t like it when my wife and I aren’t speaking or on bad terms, so to make it right, I will be the first to apologize even when I am correct. Humility is much more rewarding than pride.

It will NOT be easy but if you can humble yourself and consider their feelings and needs before your own, the harvest will always be greater than the seed sown.

HINT: Galatians 6:6-8 & Proverbs 18:12 (CEB)

Love you guys and see you next week….
