As I began to think about this week’s Tuesday’s Tip, I took an account of my relationships and marriage and I noticed a big gap. We’ve all experienced ups and downs, joys and pains, but it’s been hard to find a couple who’s willing to take some time and share their wisdom and experiences. Back in the day, the more mature ladies would MENTOR the younger ladies and it birthed more stability in the home.
No one can do great things on their own and if we can pair couples together and share our experiences, I truly believe it can reduce the divorce rate. It would take the mature couple being transparent and the younger couple being humble for it to yield the best results.
Along with pre-martial counseling, reading books, observing healthy couples and attending seminars, having a MENTOR can be vital in our relationships and marriages. So have an open heart and seek opportunities to learn and grow from others that may have a different perspective.
