When you think of this title, if you know anything about music, Tina Turner would come to mind. She knew something because when it comes to establishing and maintaining long-term relationships, LOVE has a lot TO DO WITH IT.
Over the years, I’ve seen people get into relationships or marriages for a myriad of reasons; and sometimes, LOVE isn’t in the equation. I’m not the one to judge anyone, but if LOVE isn’t in the mix, you’ve poked holes in the foundation of any type of relationship. When the comforts of life become a challenge, for example; not enough finances, children acting out, family or in-law issues, the bond and foundation of LOVE can bring stability to an unstable situation.
Don’t allow the experts (family and friends) tell you that improving your financial status, fulfilling sexual needs or getting help with the kids are more valuable than LOVE. All those are important, but fulfillment comes when LOVE is infused in your heart. We are all free moral agents so whatever decision you make, be prepared for the consequences.
How you perceive and receive LOVE will determine your level of commitment. For instance, if you’re pessimistic, you will expect bad things to happen, but if you’re optimistic, you will expect good things in your relationships.
So I ask you, WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT?? Share your thoughts.
Love you guys, see you next week….
